The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) proudly unveils its latest initiative: Bayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas: DICT Regional Roadshow 2024. This exciting venture, with its inaugural chapter unfolding in DICT Region 3, is set to revolutionize the Philippine digital landscape from March 14-15, 2024. Taking place at the National University Clark, Pampanga, the event runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and features a host of seminars, workshops, and breakout sessions.
The landscape of digital transformation beckons, and the DICT, led by Secretary Ivan John E. Uy, is ready to take the helm. The event will be graced by allies from other government agencies, local government officials, and key stakeholders, all endeavoring to propel the flagship programs and services of the Department into the limelight.
A wide array of training sessions will be available during the Roadshow, including Technical Training on Optical Cable Splicing, a valuable partnership endeavor with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Additionally, an orientation on the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) digital signature will provide attendees with key insights into this essential digital tool.
The event will feature interactive booths established by participating offices, including the Cybersecurity Bureau, Government Digital Transformation Bureau, ICT Industry Development Bureau, ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau, National ICT Planning, Policy and Standards Bureau, e-Government Team, Free Wi-Fi for All Programs Project Management Team, National Broadband Program, National Government Data Center, and the National Government Portal Project.
Furthermore, attached agencies of the DICT, such as the National Privacy Commission and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, will also be joining the Roadshow, offering their expertise and support to attendees.
"Bayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas" serves as the Roadshow’s theme, a fitting tribute to the Filipino people and their integral role in ICT development. The event is a clarion call to Filipinos and the government alike to embrace the principles of Bagong Pilipinas and unite in the journey towards a nation that fully integrates digitalization in governance, public service, industries, commerce, and lifestyle.
