A new chapter of development is unfolding as West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) is set to invest more than ₱31 billion this year. This marks the most significant capital investment since the water services in Metro Manila were privatized in 1997. This significant move is set to revolutionize the water and wastewater projects in the region.

Maynilad is diving deep into its financial reservoir, earmarking a substantial ₱11.40 billion for wastewater management projects. This includes the construction of new Sewage Treatment Plants and the installation of new sewer lines, ensuring cleaner and safer water for millions of residents.

An impressive ₱8.72 billion will be channeled into water source projects. The objective is to tap into alternate raw water sources and generate more supply for customers, ensuring water security in the West Zone.

Maynilad is dedicating ₱6.27 billion for operations support projects. These include the upgrade and construction of pumping stations, water reservoirs, and primary lines. This investment will ensure a reliable and efficient water supply system.

More than ₱4 billion will be dedicated to reducing non-revenue water and expanding service initiatives. This strategic investment will enhance efficiency and broaden the company's service reach.

The remainder of the 2024 Capex budget will be used for customer service and information infrastructure. This allocation signifies Maynilad's commitment to improving customer experience and enhancing its digital capabilities.

This massive infrastructure investment by Maynilad will be funded by a combination of internally generated funds and new debt. This financial strategy underscores the company's commitment to sustainable growth and service enhancement.

Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez has been instrumental in driving this investment. His vision for service enhancement and water sustainability has set a new benchmark in the industry.

Approved for 2023-2027, Maynilad has set an ambitious ₱227 billion total spending plan. This plan aims to sustain service enhancements and ensure water sustainability and security, paving the way for a bright future.

Maynilad, the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines, serves a vast customer base in the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area. With this massive investment, the company reaffirms its commitment to providing reliable and efficient water services.
